Writing an about me is the absolute hardest part of putting together a website. It always makes me self conscious; I can’t figure out how to write about myself without sounding pretentious or egotistical or really just plain lame! So instead of the same boring bio about how I love photography and I’ve been shooting since I was a kid and I can’t imagine doing anything else (all of which is true but repetitive) how about a list – bio info, random trivia, pertinent facts.
- Born: Dallas, Texas, January 1968 (you do the math).

If you want to know more, ask me. If it’s something interesting, I’ll add it to the list!
Oh, and about my business name: people ask me how to pronounce it, what it means, why I chose it. When I began thinking about what to name my business, I knew I wanted it to be unique. I didn’t want the cliche’d “perfect moment” or “treasured images”. I didn’t want something as bland and boring as “My Name Photographer”. I wanted something that was appropriate for a photography business, yet still personal to me. I wound up tapping both my Irish heritage and my love of history and mythology and choosing “Solais” (so-LASS) which means “light” in Irish Gaelic.
